Enhanced offering from Chartwell Funding

Chartwell Funding is delighted to announce the full launch of its General Insurance wing, which will offer Buildings and/or Contents advice for both the residential and Buy to let market; Insurance to cope with unemployment and accident or sickness and Travel Insurance.

Previously Chartwell Funding advised on general insurance as an add on to their mortgage brokerage services. Due to the success of the service and the demand from clients we are dedicating full time resources to general insurance and have improved our panel of insurers to ensure we can cater for every clients need.

Keith Patrick will be managing the general insurance service on a day to day basis and he decided to specialise in insurance after experiencing the need for proper insurance first hand.
 
The summer of 2007 was an unhappy and stressful period for those who were affected by the floods that ravaged parts of the UK. Keith lives in Gloucestershire, a county particularly badly affected by the floods. The county was big news for quite a few days, unlike previous occasions when such an event was a news item only, this event was very real and was to prove one of the most invaluable training lessons he could experience. He was able to witness the very real and lasting misery that so many people endured, and for so many the choice of Insurer was to prove key as to how the experience will settle in the memory.

The reason I highlight the above is to bring the subject of Insurance to life! What was witnessed was not an expensive advert but a shocking reality.

It bought into focus the essential importance that if we insure our property it makes sense to do it right with Providers who will “walk the walk” and deliver on their promises when called upon to do so. Our Insurers didn’t expect any of their clients to live in a caravan on the front drive, pets were catered for in Kennels and Catteries and a portacabin was sited near the worst effected areas, so that clients could deal with their situation face to face.

This proved to Keith as a Broker, that we have to imagine the worst situation when arranging insurance and rest assured, we at Chartwell have done our utmost to ensure our Providers stand up and be counted in the event of a claim.

Clearly insurance companies are not ‘all the same’ and you do get what you pay for.  Forgive the clichés but we are not an online comparison site or a tick box call centre. We speak with all our clients at inception and on renewal because their home and belongings are always individual. Our service expands to all, whether you have plenty or not a lot, whether you require unlimited cover or have specific items that need itemising.
